Normal?........

At our house, projects don't get completed quickly.
For example, Mike put our new flooring in over a weekend in November. This flooring is to extend into our laundry room. It's now May. Six months and it's not yet done.
We planned on redoing our landscaping in the front yard and around the basement walkout area. That was last spring. Last summer, we ripped out the existing landscaping and here we are, almost one year later and the landscaping has yet to get started.
Please tell me that are are a few of you like us out there!!

We are "planning" to go and purchase our first items for our front yard landscaping on Mother's day. Hoping we can at least get the edging in before 2020!

Good luck getting everything finished! Maybe you can set a realistic deadline for project completions?

Morning! yes I think it is very normal... you work full time, so does Mike, 2 kids that are VERY busy, baseball, church, family time, friends...

Maybe what you need to do is have a party for Mike with his friends, provide beer and food and tell them what needs to be done!?!? HA
it might not turn out EXACTLY how you had hoped, but it will be done! (Kidding on this... I could see Neil helping and how bad it could turn out)

Try to think about all the things you have gotten done... painting the inside of the house, the deck stained, ect.

it'll all get done~ sooner or later!

Oh my goodness, I just posted a long rant of the same material on my blog. Great minds think alike...mine is more along the lines of projects TOO BIG to handle, rather than not getting started.

I totally agree with Marilyn, you have so much on your plate--don't worry, it'll all happen sooner or later! Regardless, your house is awesome! Be proud of what you've already done...

:o)

hahaha! every room in my house has something unfinished in it! it drives me crazy and matt is always started new projects because it's the right 'time' and he can finish the other ones later. whatever. i seriously should document all these, put them on the blog, and take bets on when they will get done.

good luck with your landscaping. that's something i don't even bother matt with - i just do it myself!!! :)

oh, the doing it yourself thing, that really motivates a husband, if you're trying to do that :) i always set a deadline. because without those - well nothing gets done! toootally normal.
