If you are looking for a tasty yet quick recipe for cheesecake, then I'm your gal. I made this the other day and cannot stay away. I may or may not have eaten a piece for breakfast today too.

3/4 cup sugar
1/2 cup Bisquick
2 eggs
2 packages of cream cheese softened and cut into cubes
2 teaspoons vanilla
1/2 teaspoon lemon zest (optional)

Heat oven to 350. Grease pie plate. Mix all ingredients with mixer for about 2-3 minutes until well blended. Pour into pie plate and bake for 30 minutes. Put on topping.

1 cup sour cream
2 tablespoons sugar
2 teaspoons vanilla

Mix together and spread over cake being sure to go all the way to the edge.
Let set until cooled and then refrigerate.

Then grab a fork, the cheesecake and a chick flick and head to the couch.

Little Fish....

My little dude has a "new favorite thing." That thing is swimming lessons. He started on Tuesday and I was a little nervous to how it might go. He's watched his brother countless times so I thought he'd be really excited for his turn.
We started hyping it up about a week or so before it started. First he said he didn't want to go. Then it changed to he'll go, but he's not swimming on his back. Then he added the fact that he didn't want to get his hair wet. He finally came around when we said he could pick out his own goggles. He wanted orange ones with tiger stripes. Hmmmmm, believe it or not, they didn't have any of those so he settled for plain orange.
He rocked the pool. He swam on his back. He got his hair wet. He couldn't wait to go back for his next lesson.
Here's a couple snapshots I couldn't help but share:

He gave his brother a big thumbs up after he was done jumping in.

Ipod Confessions....

I need to preface this post by stating that I only use my ipod when I work out so I need upbeat songs that make me happy and keep me moving. Nothing like starting out on the defensive......

Last night while I was shredding, I was thinking to myself, would I be embarrassed if somebody knew what I had on my ipod?

I don't download music often. It's just one of those things that is pretty low on my priority list. So, I thought I'd confess a few of the rockin tunes that are flowing through my ipod shuffle. Laugh all you want, I can handle it. As I write this, my self proclaimed coolness factor just fell a couple of notches.

Sexy Back - Justin Timberlake
Rock & Roll - Eric Hutchinson
So What - Pink
Stupid Girls - Pink
Girlfriend - Avril Lavigne
Goodbye Earl - Dixie Chicks
Dirrty - Christina Aguilera
Empire State of Mind - JayZ
Miami - Will Smith (I can't believe I just admitted that)
Chicken Fried - Zac Brown Band
Gives You Hell - All American Rejects
Last Name - Carrie Underwood
My Prerogative - Brittany Spears
Circus - Brittany Spears
Picture To Burn - Taylor Swift
Our Song - Taylor Swift
Rappers Delight - Sugar Hill Gang (you know you love it)

Hope you enjoyed this edition of Ipod Confessions.

I've been trying to think about a blog topic to post, but nothing is jumping out at me. I do have a couple questions that I'm hoping you can answer for me. Here we go....

1. How long does it take to potty train a puppy? We've had our dog for about 3 weeks now. She does really well during the day in the kennel when we're at work, but on weekends and evenings she is still having accidents. We take her out what feels like every 10 minutes and leave her out there for about five. If this dog craps on my floor one more time.......

2. Do you use your bath towel more than one time? My hubby and I use to have this argument on a daily basis until I finally decided it was not the battle to die in. He's a one time user and I'm a repeat user. In my mind, you are clean when you use your towel to dry off so why not use it a couple of times? In his mind he finds it repulsive that there could be a chance that you wipe your face with the section of towel you wiped your ass on a day earlier.

3. We are having some behavior issues with Colton at school already. That's right - within 3 days of returning from Christmas vacation. Apparently he thinks it's cool to make all the kids laugh and be the class clown which is disruptive to the class. Thought we nipped this one back in November. Any suggestions you have would be appreciated. We're working with his teacher, but seriously.

4. We are working with Brett on the whole peeing in his night time undies thing. Any tips? He doesn't have any drinks 60 minutes before bedtime. He goes to the bathroom right before bed and still wakes up wet more often than not. I told him last night that if he can go 7 days without any potty in his nighttime undies I would buy him a prize. He of course wanted to know what that prize would be. I suggested something to go with his new Batman house. He thought about it and then responded, "no, I want minty gum for my prize." Easy to please. Gotta love it.
