Celebrating a 2nd birthday!
Getting birthday kisses from Bree.
Note to parents.....if you can avoid using red frosting, I highly recommend it.....
Trying new tricks on the bike over the 4th.
Eating corn on the cob. Seriously, is it really a 4th of July weekend without this tasty food?
The boys in their Red White and Blue.
There's no keeping clean up at the lake....
We're also in week two of swimming lessons for Colton. I'm so impressed with how far he's come in the last year. He just loves it even though is little lips are purple when he gets out of the pool.

On a totally different note, I may have made a really expensive mistake. I just happened to spill magenta finger nail polish on our light tan carpet. Anybody have any miracle cleaning tips? I've tried polish remover as well as a bleach/water mixture to no avail. I'm hoping to avoid a trip to pick out new carpet, but it's looking like that just might be in my near future.

Oooh, that sucks about the polish! Good luck with that one Leah!
The boys look good! Glad to get an update! That cake was cute!!
I will check my stain book tonight and let you know.
PS: I think Bree and Brett make a mighty cute couple.
Cute pics. I love the cake...you are so talented! I will always rely on the nearest store to make my kids' cakes, but it's so cool that you can do it yourself and have them turn out so good.
On the note about the nail polish...
call a local carpet cleaner place. We just had our upstairs carpets cleaned (just due to having a dog and toddler and we were told to have our carpets cleaned every year to extend the life of them) and the place that we hired had gotten red nail polish out of someone else's carpet no problem...and that is why they were recommended to us.
It's worth a shot. Paying a carpet cleaning company $100-$200 as compared to replacing the whole darn thing...
Good Luck!
nail polish huh? why does something having to do with an ice cube ring a bell here. i would google ways to get it off...or call the carpet cleaners. good luck!
cute picture updates! love that birthday cake you made! the boys are such cuties!
I have a friend who got fingernail polish on her pants and someone told her to use bug spray to get it off, and it worked. I don't know if she just sprayed it on or what. I also don't know how it would work on carpet but may be worth a try.
great job on the cake. i second the red frosting comment! good luck with the stain. hope you figure it out!
